Florida State Seminoles linebacker Nigel Carr is facing a suspension after being arrested on five different criminal accusations.
Carr was arrested for auto burglary and a host of other theft charges but has been released on bail.
A number of the items allegedly taken from a vehicle was found in a trash bin outside the linebacker’s apartment complex.
Head coach Jimbo Fisher said that if Carr is guilty of a felony, it’s an automatic suspension. He made it clear cut that players have to make the right decisions or face the consequences. ( Read More…)

Florida State Seminoles quarterback Christian Ponder has big expectations for the upcoming season.
Ponder, a Heisman Trophy candidate, is predicting that the Seminoles will win the ACC championship.
He said that anything other than an ACC title would be a major disappointment given the talent on the team.
The quarterback went on to say that head coach Jimbo Fisher has a lot more control than Bobby Bowden did the last few years. ( Read More…)

Staring at a 15-point deficit just 12 minutes into its first-round NCAA Tournament game on Friday, it didn’t look like the Florida State Seminoles would put up much of a fight against Gonzaga.
But the Seminoles fought their way back into the game. Down 18 points early in the second half, the ninth-seeded ‘Noles got to within five points but no closer, their season ending with a 67-60 loss to the Bulldogs in Buffalo, N.Y.
A 3-pointer from Deividas Dulkys brought FSU (22-10) within 59-54 with 2:21 to go. But Gonzaga hit its free throws down the stretch to end any hopes of a ‘Noles comeback.
Dulkys scored a team-high 14 points and Soloman Alabi added 13. Offensively, it was a struggle all night for the ‘Noles, who hit only 35.6 percent of their shots from the floor.
FSU started ice cold and the Bulldogs took advantage, using a 24-7 run to go up 15 points with eight minutes left in the first half. The Seminoles ended the season by going one-and-done in both the Atlantic Coast Conference and NCAA tournaments, this after winning five of their final six games to conclude the regular season.

The Florida State Seminoles fell behind early and simply ran out of time in a 67-60 loss to the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
Coming into the game, the big question was whether or not Florida State would have enough offense to keep up with the explosive Bulldogs, and the answer was no.
Florida State fell behind big in the first half, which certainly put them behind the eight-ball. They did make a second-half push, but it was simply too little, too late.
The Seminoles managed to cut the deficit to five with a few minutes to play in the game, but two missed free throws that could have made it a one possession game proved very costly.
Florida State certainly has found themselves a strong defense under head coach Leonard Hamilton, but they will need to add some offensive players if they want to start making it past the first round of the NCAA tournament.

The Florida State Seminoles cruised into third place in the ACC and past the North Carolina Tar Heels, 77-67.
Florida State jumped out to a double-digit lead early in the first half and never really looked back.
Chris Singleton led the Seminoles with 19 points, eight rebounds and three blocks. Deividas Dulkys scored 17, including five three-pointers, off of the bench.
Leonard Hamilton’s team is becoming more and more dangerous because they are showing some offensive ability in addition to their strong defense.
The win certainly moves the Seminoles a step closer toward securing an NCAA tournament berth.

The Florida State Seminoles picked up an important road win with a 69-50 victory over the Virginia Cavaliers.
Chris Singleton scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds while Luke Loucks finished with 11 points, four rebounds and four assists.
The Seminoles turned what was a close game in the early going into a rout in the second half.
Florida State managed to pull away for a nine-point lead by halftime, and the margin quickly grew from there.
The win gets them one step closer to an NCAA tournament berth, although they still have plenty of work left.

The Florida State Seminoles picked up an important ACC victory with a 71-65 win over the rival Miami Hurricanes.
In a game that was close the whole way, Florida State took a one-point lead into halftime and was able to maintain it the rest of the way.
Florida State got a helping hand from an unlikely source, as reserve Luke Loucks came in off of the bench and scored a game-high 19 points.
The Seminoles got over the .500 mark in the conference with the victory and continue to hang around in the race for the ACC regular season champion.
Florida State’s two losses to Maryland certainly hurt, but with how crazy and bunched up the ACC is this year, who knows what could happen.

The Florida State Seminoles lost a critical home game in a 71-67 loss to the Maryland Terrapins.
The loss means the Seminoles fell in both matchups against Maryland this season, which could come back to haunt them in the wide-open ACC race.
The team had plenty of support from the usually quiet home fans, who were a bit too rowdy if you would ask some folks, specifically the Terps.
Maryland star point guard Greivis Vasquez was the target of racial slurs for much of the game and had a beer dumped on him as he left the court following the victory.
Florida State remains a player in the ACC race and still sits in the middle of the pack, but another couple of losses would drop them out of contention.

Junior forward Jordan DeMercy has left Florida State because he is disappointing over a drop in playing time.
DeMercy plans to look to play at another school, but transferring as a junior is not an easy task.
He will have his hands full with the NCAA to let him play his entire senior year at another college.
Head coach Leonard Hamilton was more ambigeous about the situation, saying DeMercy was leaving for personal reasons.
DeMercy must have been really playing poorly for Hamilton not to give him significant playing time given the fact that Florida State lacks a lot of scorers.
